Thank you for visiting kimsunee.com, which was launched just before the publication of my first book, Trail of Crumbs. Since, I’ve been fortunate to meet and work with so many amazing people who love to eat and travel and read as much as I do. I’m also humbled by the community of fellow adoptees (and adopters) who have shared their own stories of joy and heartbreak, and who bravely continue the search. I appreciate your visit and hope you’ll come back often and consider subscribing for more food, words, and travel.
Yum Yum Yum.
My friend just picked us passionfruits off the vine last night at an organic farm.
I LOVE passionfruits.
Did you eat them with a spoon or add them to a dish? What are some of your favorite ways to eat them?
Superb with meringue …
I might have confused those with ersters.
I had passion fruit on top of vanilla bean ice cream this weekend! Delicious!
Passion fruit creme brulee, omg!! It’s swoonful. Also love to spoon it over cut up fresh fruit with some planings of buddha hand rind.
I grew up in Hawaii, where they grow on the side of the road. Walking home from school we would crack them open and slurp out the insides.
Guess what I had at Lantern, Chapel Hill.
Fresh Passion fruitcake (passion fruit on top of fruitcake as glaze) w/ coconut and salted macadamia nuts ice cream. It was one of the most memorable dessert. I loved passion fruit seeds popping!
These are spectacular on Pavlova with whipped cream. Wish good ones weren’t so hard to find in upstate New York.
