I am about to go on book tour with the release of Trail of Crumbs, which was yesterday. Before heading out, I wanted to post some belated words and images from a recent trip to Paris…

I always go to le comptoir du relais and have a bite as soon as I arrive.

Here’s a Parisian surf and turf–pork rillettes and fresh oysters from Arcachon…

…and a glass of wine to soothe away the wrinkles of jetlag.

And then the day continues… a large plateau Scallops in beurre blanc at Allard

Butter by the gram

Oh, why not everything butter…

Back to le comptoir for another bite…Scallops with toasted almonds and parsley…

And eggs sunny side up with a mountain of truffles…

Kitchen at Bistro Allard…
allard kitchen

SWEETbreads in cream with morels and carrots

Poulet de Bresse for 2…

YUM!
- whole registration process to say “yum”! – ;)
i have to go visit my brother in paris and try your jet lag prescription – i like it.
Hi Kim,
I was taking a Google image search tour of hats in Paris when I came upon this lovely picture of you in very suitable hat. Scrolling further I found one of my favorite foods – Oysters. My wife and I are headed to a ‘ster BBQ tomorrow.
I like your site – the menu blackboard is a great touch. Many tasty pics. I’ll be back to visit and I’ll bring friends. I’ll check out your read Trail of Crumbs too.
Cheers,
